Performance 1 self reflection (October)

Eliana – Ensemble (Self-reflection)
GSCE= Acc: 7/12 Int: 14/18
MYP= B: 5/8 D:
IGCSE- Accuracy (of pitch and rhythm):
Interpretation:
My performance was accurate in most of the time. There was only 1 piano slip. Although the rhythm went was incorrect all through the performance. In some time, the violin part slowed down, causing the piano part to slow down. I can improve on this by practicing more with the violin part, therefore we will be in sync and I can play in the correct rhythm throughout the performance.
My performance felt like it was on the same tone and didn’t have any dynamics as if it’s empty. Some pedal and increase of volume can be heard but it needs to be concentrated on more because the violin cover it in the background. For improvement, I will perform the piece to give it a feeling and a secure sense of style by adding and emphasizing the dynamics so it’s not lost behind the loud sound of the violin.
Criteria B: Developing Skills
Criteria D: Responding
During the performance, some parts sound like both the violin and piano are in sync and playing as an ensemble. But in some other parts I get the feeling that the two instruments and doing separate parts and it does not sound too pleasing to hear them together. To improve on this, my partner and I will test many ways of playing this piece to see which sounds the most active. I feel like I have used many techniques and skills In my piano part which gives the performance an attractive  atmosphere
My overall pear and self-reflection include what strength were present in the performance and how these strength can be maintained. As well as mentioning the weaknesses of the performances right now, and ways to improve these weaknesses to achieve a better mark for the final performance.

Performance 1 pear reflection (October)

Kian- Solo (Pear reflection)
GSCE= Acc:  10/12 Int: 17/18
MYP=  B: 6/8  D:
IGCSE- Accuracy (of pitch and rhythm):
Interpretation:
The performance is always accurate and fluent. There are no clear slips in the guitar part although the vocals went out of key in some parts. To avoid the vocals from getting out of key, practice your vocals with someone that can sing In the right key and listen closely to the guitar notes you can also start easy. Sing your "do re mi"s up and down the scales.
The performance’s convincing feeling and a secure sense of style with detailed attention, phrasing and dynamic contrast is present over the performance but mainly in the solo guitar part. I find the performance very catchy and it keeps the audience engaged and interested. I can sense that there were some complex electric guitar rhythmic patterns. For improvement, play the guitar solo parts with a little more dynamics that higher the volume to increase and emphasize the attention of some parts.
Criteria B: Developing Skills
Criteria D: Responding
During the performance, the performer shows clear active participation of the song, that he is engaged and playing it with passion. He demonstrated the application of skills and techniques to create and perform in most of the time. Although this can be improved by playing some parts in a more interactive way that will amaze the audience.
